In addition to her training at Drama Studio London and the University of Northumbria, Deborah has studied voice & speech for over 10 years. She began this area of her training at the Edinburgh Acting School where she studied for Guildhall Speech & Drama exams. She achieved her Grade 8 in 1997 and went on to teach at the school's Summer & Easter courses.
Recent voice credits include: Sue-Ellen on Educational CD ROMs for Oxford University Press; Nameplate Woman for the "Violence & Women" Exhibition at the Kelvingrove Museum in Glasgow; Agnes for a Museum Exhibit in Denver (Colorado) for The Roybal Corporation; and the voices of animated horses Pebbles, Kathy & Katie for the Claymation film The Horses Tale. She had also recently recorded narrations for an animated musical and a dvd showreel for Jon Cooper Productions. Future engagements include voiceovers for Harrison Educational Entertainments (US) and narrations for Makro. In addition, Deborah is also a professional actress, singer, & musician.
Training includes: accents, alexander technique, laban, lessac, narration, phonetics, public speaking, radio drama, Shakespeare, and voicing for adverts. Masterclasses with Cicely Berry, Jilly Bond, Barbara Houseman, Jane Lapotaire, Katarina Moriatis, Bernard Shaw, Patrick Tucker & Tessa Wood.
